Digestive Health Guide

About Naturally Healthy Colonics
Since 2010, I've had the privilege of supporting clients with a wide range of digestive health concerns. I believe that good health begins with understanding the individual, which is why every consultation and treatment is tailored to your unique health history, symptoms and wellbeing goals.
I've created this guide to help you better understand the therapies I offer, including colon hydrotherapy, probiotic implants, enemas, herbal tinctures and naturopathic support, so you can make informed decisions about your digestive health and wellbeing with confidence.

Understanding Your Digestive Health
Your digestive system plays an important role in nutrient absorption, gut health and overall wellbeing.
Digestive symptoms can have many different causes, including diet, stress, hydration, lifestyle, medications and underlying health conditions. This guide explains the treatments available at Naturally Healthy Colonics and how they can help support your digestive wellbeing as part of a holistic approach to health.

Many clients explore digestive wellness support because they're experiencing one or more of the following:

Colon Hydrotherapy
Colon hydrotherapy is a gentle treatment that uses warm, filtered water to support the natural emptying of the large bowel through a closed, hygienic system.
Many people choose colon hydrotherapy as part of their wider digestive wellness routine or alongside healthy lifestyle changes. Every treatment begins with a confidential consultation to ensure it is suitable for your individual needs.

Enemas
An enema involves introducing a small amount of liquid into the lower part of the bowel through the rectum during the treatment. Unlike colon hydrotherapy, which uses warm, filtered water to cleanse the large bowel, an enema uses a carefully selected solution that is retained for a short period before being naturally released.
At Naturally Healthy Colonics, enemas are offered as an optional addition to your colon hydrotherapy treatment where appropriate. Each is selected according to your individual needs.

High Strength Post-Colonic Probiotic Implant
The High Strength Post-Colonic Probiotic Implant is designed to complement your colon hydrotherapy treatment by helping to replenish and support a healthy balance of beneficial gut bacteria. A healthy gut microbiome plays an important role in digestion, bowel health and overall wellbeing.
Following your colonic, the liquid probiotic is gently introduced directly into the lower part of the colon using a fine, flexible tube inserted approximately six inches (15cm) into the rectum. By delivering the probiotic directly into the colon, it bypasses the stomach and digestive tract, allowing the beneficial bacteria to reach where they are intended without first being exposed to stomach acid. This special formula starts to work immediately.

Herbal Tinctures
Herbal tinctures are concentrated liquid herbal extracts that are taken orally as part of a personalised naturopathic wellness plan.
Where appropriate, I may recommend a herbal tincture following your consultation, selected according to your health history, symptoms and wellbeing goals.
The tinctures are prepared for you to take home, and I'll explain exactly how and when to take them as part of your personalised wellness plan.
Herbal tinctures are often recommended alongside nutrition, lifestyle and supplement advice to provide a holistic approach to supporting your long-term health and wellbeing.
